Before Christmas Adam Smith let it be known that he would be doing what he could to get Britain's No 1 fighter on Sky following his dazzling performance in Finland against Abraham.

Isn't his next fight in the SF of the Super Six scheduled for April?

Given Carl's standing wouldn't that mean a PPV event? According to Haye he can't have a Sky Box Office date in April because Amir Khan's fighting. As I say that's according to Haye and he does say a lot of things.

Hopefully I'm wrong but wouldn't this cast a doubt over Froch's chances of making it onto Sky?

would be a boxing special on regular sky if it happens. It's in the US so will be on at about 4am.

    Unless it's doubled with khan.

If sky do have his next fight I don't think it will be ppv. Sky would promo the fight loads to build up his profile and then put the final (if he makes it) on ppv. This is assuming that he signs a deal with sky

    :deal

A froch - Johnson PPV doesn't sell as Froch is not a well known name (totally unjustified of course)

Are the super six fights not all bought by Primetime or whoever it is that shows them then? I thought they'd have to wait till it was over for them to get him.

I think Froch will be April 16th in the US with Khan PPV.

If its gona be on Sky you would have to think it would be doubled with a Khan PPV.

The final of the super six will be in vegas, not the johnson fight

I have a feeling Froch is still trying to get this fight in Nottingham. For all its a great fight it wont sell alot of tickets in the states and could do 8,000 in Nottingham easy.

would make sense as Froch could get 8k in nottingham and johnson would travel for a a few more $$$. Thing is showtime have invested big money in the tournement with the payoff being the finals in USA primetime. Viewers dramaticly drop if its delayed.
