If only he kept his hands up by default I could see him going really far, but he just hasn't the reflexes, sense of distance or timing to get away with that lack of basic defence

Against opposition he respects, he might keep his hands up more. We'll see.

In my humble opinion, Carl Froch is nothing special, and is a bad KO waiting to happen.

Thanks Decebal, good video. You've got to admire Carl's confidence, he truly believes what he's saying, will happen, no question. Not sure how far he'll get ? Or how good he will become ? One thing that's really obvious is how much he loves what he does. When you love doing something, that's when you do it to the best of your ability. If you enjoy doing something, you'll do very well in life. Best of luck to him..

He might, but i think he's too over confident in both his reflexes and his chin.

He is, but we both know it only takes a couple of good punches for your confidence to diminish. He hasn't been in with anyone decent yet, so he doesn't know what it's like to be hit hard, repeatedly by a guy who is not afraid of him. I think if he doesn't chance a bit against better opposition, he won't last that long, great chin and punch or not.

Saying that, I agree with you. I don't think he can chance that much, even if he wanted to, at this stage. He's 31!

Of course the problem is if those 2 punches do enough damage that he can't recover in time. He has a solid beard though, so maybe if someone puts him on his arse he'll realise he isn't immortal. However, he's already moving into the elite world so its too late for that little lesson.
