Anyone else Forking hate this guy. He is into his 30's, and has not stepped up his comp at all. (reid is way past his prime) He runs his mouth so much saying he would KO Kessler, Calzaghe etc. He is promoted by an *******. And has done nothing to actually warrant a fight with a Calzaghe except run his mouth. Kinda like a Junior Witter of the super middles. I remember when Hatton beat Kostya, and the very next day Witter says he would have KOd taht version of Kostya in 6 or summin. I bet when Calz beats Kess, Froch will say sumfin like... ''I would have got him out of there in 4. No one can take my punches. Now Joe needes to face me in a domestic superfight to see who is the REAL super middleweight champion''
Froch has stepped up his competition, and while he's hardly set the division alight, he's exactly the kind of threat a champion should be fighting. I find it hard to understand your criticism of Witter though.
hennsey has done a good job in promoting froch and selling tickets in nottingham, but not really in moving him along. reid has to be his last domestic level fight, and he has to at least be fighting an eliminator next to back up his claims
I agree Froch is an ******* who lives in a dream land. But Witter IMO is a good fighter who because of his awkward style has been avoided quite badly.
witter has stepped up and is a genuine world champ. Hatton hqas avoided him for a decade and will continue to do so. Froch is Froch.....step up or shut up
froch is a good fighter but like most british fighters he talks about being this and that but is content to fight uknown europeans
Froch is quality- bit of a **** but as said in another thread he does a lot of it slightly tongue in cheek. I don't doubt his abilities tough and think he would give 'p4p entrant' Kessler a hell of a fight.
Why do folks get so worked up by Froch when it's pretty obvious he's a decent guy who says things to wind people up? He is a top fighter too. A lot of what he has said is true too. remember that weekend when Calzaghe and Hatton fought a couple of chumps....Froch said they must've found the opponents in middle earth they were so small and weak.
He does sometimes talk some crap but its ammusing to listen to. But i do think he is a very good fighter that will win a world title within a couple of years.
Froch is a fraud, when i was living in Nottingham a few years back i went and saw a couple of his fights and came to this conclusion. In all seriousness the bloke is pretty average atsch I've seen Anthony Mundine fight live a few times, and even though i don't like the bloke he is head and shoulders above froch in ability. Calzaghe wld **** him up big time.
When I went to see his fights live I got the impression he was able to finish the fight when he wanted, but wanted to put on a performance for the crowd. Definatly not average. I think Froch is gonna make it big, how big we'll have to wait and see.
