carl froch, underated by some hated by others, i find carl froch to be exciting, unpredictable, confident all which to me is normally what people look for in a boxer, i just dont understand why british people havent took to him, perhaps mick has something to do with it, british fans love calzaghe the guy was brilliant but never fought no one really but kessler, froch has beaten some top names, all his fights are exciting except from the dirrell fight who made it a stinker just never understood it thats all, also he fought for wales and all the sheepshaggers, carl froch is proud to be british calzaghe wasnt,

i think carl froch throws punches froms some crazy angles which will always leave him open to some counters but he has took everyones pretty much, curious to see how he reacts to abrahams punches,

just curious to see what you guys think on the abraham fight and why the british people havent took to him?

I'd say there is a greater percentage of British fight fans that have taken to him than have not. We don't really know about the wider general public because he hasn't had the right media exposure. But that is a tiresome argument now that will never be resolved.
I love his style but if he used his brain half the time and had some discipline he could make life easier for himself.
As much as Joe Calzaghe pissed me off with his negative comments about boxing when he left the sport he would've beaten Froch quite handily.
And as for the Abraham fight. That guy was a defeat in waiting. Dirrell boxed quite superbly imo. The Froch v Abraham should be interesting for six rounds but Carl is a fitter man by quite some distance and as always will take it into the trenches. And I'm sorry but anyone who thinks that Abraham is just gonna walk through Froch needs their head examined. If Froch fights with half of his ability he'll wear down AA and stop him.

I think even amongst the people who don't like Froch, there's a grudging respect. The Abraham fight will be his fifth solid fight in a row - Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham. That's a tough run by anyone's standards.

It's a shame the wider public haven't seen more of him, because as you say he's a very exciting fighter and always in entertaining fights.

I really like him and think he has every chance of beating Abraham. I think his energy and aggression could wear Abraham down as early as the middle rounds.

They just haven't seen him. I don't see how anyone could dislike him in the ring.

Froch was begining to grow on me after managing to get the KO against Taylor,
as I thought that after all his talking the guy was starting to walk the walk! What put me off him was saying how much damage he was gonna do Kessler, then putting on a **** performance then complaining that kessler got the hometown decision! He needed to be at his best to beat Kessler but was far from it!

I think it's because people in this country can't handle the truth and the fact he says things tongue in cheek. It doesn't help having a promoter who struggles to secure a parking space let alone a tv deal. The lads on the rough end of the deal really. He seems a good fella.
