I was curious if there was anyone in the forum that has personal knowledge on the late great Carlos Ortiz. (Ex: Family friend, relative, former trainer) I know he shared the ring with both Nicolino Locche and Duilio Loi. I am inquiring if there was ever an interview where Carlos was asked who he thought was better. Often times Locche and Loi are mentioned as a few of the top Jr Welterweights in history, I was curious if Carlos ever gave his opinion. Nothing really to debate more looking for some closure. Who better to say than a person who fought them both. I figure a long shot but I had to try.

I met him in 2006, though apart from the hello how are you type formalities, I honestly can't remember the small talk, he was sitting with his wife at breakfast at the Hotel most of us stayed at, at the WBHofF event. I met a good few fighters over that few days.
I’d asked him about Locche and he didn’t seem to say anything out of the ordinary about that fight or opponent just that he knew he won and that he wasn’t concerned with the draw as it wasn’t for a title..
