    Anything outside Stipulated weight classes is a catchweight

    Yes, a smarter and quicker way of saying what I said.

    Canelo and Lara both weighed 155lbs; they technically had a match at Middleweight, some (like me) would just call it a non title Junior Middleweight match up. Either way, it is not catchweight.

    yes and anything outside 154 at jmw is a catchweight i know anything under 160 is classed as jmw but it your not making stipulated weight imo its a catchweight and basically if youve had a full camp with plenty notice and your not fighting at the stipulated weight your cheating yourself your opponent and the paying fans , Sick hearing all theese BS excuses hes big at the weight , he killed himself to make the weight , im weight drained etc etc etc, fight at a weight you can make professionally or forget it imo

    The match was contracted for 155lbs.

    As I have already suggested; this is a custom and practice, and always has been, it was not a 'catchweight' match.

    Contracted yes but its still not within a designated weight class , which imo with the time they both had to prepare is utterly pointless for the sake of 1lb its an utter joke

    If that is going to upset you, you are not going to like boxing. Throughout the history of Queensberry rules, bouts have taken place between fighters of a known weight division; but because there was no title on the line, the bout would see one/both maybe a few pounds overweight.
