Just rewatched Stevenson vs Dawson and noticed that Chad was really dry in there.

I know Stevenson caught him with a money punch and this is not to take away from Adonis win......

It's just that I gotta wonder if Chad was really aware of just how hard he was gonna be hit.
Last time out he gassed and Im thinking maybe he didnt wanna get to overheated in the warmup and come in and burn out.

Some guys think theyve got those early rds to adjust to the fight and Im really thinking Dawson may have just not been properly tuned in for this.

I believe a rematch would be quite different.

Anyone know if Dawson has a plan to seek the rematch.:think

His glass jaw has been shattered two times in a row. It is over. If Glass Jawson wishes to continue, it is going to be as a gatekeeper type fighter.

Idk Dawson I though came out aggressive jabbing and coming forward and trying to apply pressure and doubt on the inexperienced 35 yr old rookie title fight participant

he got nailed i think throwing or feinting a jab and coming forward

just a good shot might say more about Adonis than Dawson, time will tell

I wouldn't write Dawson out in a rematch, I think he needs some confidence boosters before he seeks one.

    Got caught cold and early!

No telling what could happen in a rematch.

Nailing a fighter with a money punch that early and stopping him does'nt indicate to me Stevenson is a better fighter.
There could be a rematach and Dawson may very well dominate him.

This is the only thing that might make a difference as far as I can see.

From a fan's perspective the guy seems to be a headcase, but that works both ways sometimes?

If they line up some opponents that somebody has sold to Chad as legit(and he really believes it) and he beats them easily one right after the other in quick succession, it might give him some momentum and enough of a crutch to lean on that he becomes dangerous again?

I mean it's thin, but what else is there?

He can still be a force if he doesn't go in with a puncher or brawler. He'd still give fits to paper champs like Cleverly

All those wars finally caught up with him, Draining doesn't help, but Bad Chad did a sopernova and he's pretty much blown out by now

hey ,remember it happened to Hatton, this was a guy who once took Tszyus best haymakers

I dont think he's burnt out.

He got got caught cold and never got time to get into the fight.

It was a sigular shot that done him, but his chin just didnt take it for whatever reason.

I wouldnt bet against him in the rematch, although, the under would be a safe bet.:think

Dawson is damaged goods both physically and mentally. A rematch is pointless. He would get starched again.

There wasn't even a rematch clause. What kinda team does Dawson have? How can you be considered "the man" in your division & a linear champion & not have a rematch clause? Why would his team put him in with a puncher in his first fight back from an asswhooping? I think it's obvious he makes a lot of the decision making regarding his career. It's like it's one dumb thing after another. There isn't anything wrong with Dawson. He isn't shot. He just got caught. With the type of chin he has, we knew he would get KO'd one day.
