Why are people so sure that Eddie Chambers will win? Calvin Brock is a good heavyweight, who the hell did he lose to, oh Wlad.. The only way i see Brock losing is if he doesnt wanna get the **** knocked out of him by Wlad again.. Calvin Brock is pretty solid, and packs a pretty good punch as well..

It isn't a good style match for Brock. He does not adjust well to opponents who are faster than him. Chambers also has better boxing skills.

I can understand that... But a lot of people are saying **** like, When Povetkin fights Chambers.. (Who the hell is to say Povetkin will beat Chambers for sure as well...)

I just dont think he should be written off..

An amatuer from our gym is Brock's main work in camp for Chambers. Alonzo is a little bigger than Eddie. He is also quite fast and hits pretty hard. Style looks similar. Gave Brock real trouble for a few weeks but Brock has been catching him more as the camp has progressed.

Benn a fan of Chambers since his Amateur days. Good technical fighter, good peoples, and a class act.

This is Fast Eddie's big time opportunity to step forward fter going 29-0. Beat Brock take that next step, I dont think he'll take his mind off the prize and the kid can box.

Brock hasnt been seen the same since the Klit Ko and had a couple shaky performances. He'll bring effort but whether he can do it technically?? I dont think so.

I wholeheartedly agree. I don't really know WHY so many people are so high on Chambers. He doesn't look like anything special to me, and he's quite small for today's HW division.

Now Brock isn't that great a fighter, nor a particularly large HW - but at least, unlike Chambers, he's a natural HW. And Chambers doesn't have the size, or power, as you point out, to take advantage of Brock's chief weakness.:yep

Brock looks to be a natural cruiser to me when I see him face to face. He was 218 vesus Mcline and he was still soft looking. He was much smaller than I expected the first time I saw him. He and Donnell Holmes were face to face jawing at each other last weekend at a local amateur card and Holmes looked much bigger and Donnell is only 225.

Put 20 pounds of fat on Max Baer and you have a modern heavyweight. Do you remember who that lightheavy was who gave Baer a boxing lesson? Chambers could very well do the same to Brock.

Hmmmmmm......maybe Chambers won't have it so easy afterall. By the way, do you like it better in Charlotte?

As I said in other posts Brock will beat Chambers in a very boring fight, that will make niether fighter look good. I watched some of his early matches when he fought in my hometown of pittsburgh, he looked to me to be a poor mans Chris Bryd. He is a good boxer, thats lacks power for a heavywieght IMO. Brock will get the better punches in and will do just enough to win the decision.

He fights much better than his body type, thats for sure. This is the opportunity to gauge him. He was a successful local amateur and turned PRO a 18 and came up the right way. He's now 25 yrs old, 29-0, and getting his shots.

I think you'll see more in this one.

I love the gym here but besides that this city is boring as hell. I was living 1 mile from Las Vegas blvd before I moved here. I have been ready to pack since I arrived.

I won't say it's out of the realm of possibility - Brock is good, not great. Thus far we don't really know how good Chambers is. Whether he's at the Brock level or not remains a question mark. Based on what I've seen, I don't think so - but, of course, that could be incorrect.

I think I've seen Chambers fight on ESPN a time or two. Not sure what he was like, but if he was anything impressive, I'd have remembered him better.

Brock is my pick in this. Brock is a good all around fighter. Glad this can be seen on Showtime.

The third fight will be Povetkin vs. Brock, in my opinion.

I think Chambers wins this in a good tactical fight. Both guys are good all around fighters, but I see Chambers edging Brock with his advantages in hand speed and foot speed.
