Chambers should start strenghthening his body at this p oint.
A little more road work would tighten him up.

This aint a body building contest:nono

Eddie always had excellent stamina and didnt look any worse for wear after last night.

The $$$$ is at HW and believe it or not but Chambers is physically strong and tough. It's clear against brock, and Guinn, and he's done the same consistently in the gym. Even did it to Hasim rahman some years back, in the gym.

I agree, Brock needs a serious, real trainer if he plans on going anywhere.

I agree on all points except I thought Brock was putting on muscle to increase his power a bit. My bad. When he took off that Brock.com t-shirt and I saw his man-boobs I was like "Oh ****, you gotta be kidding................"

Povetkin is a come forward fighter who is very busy and he has better power & combos than Chambers. I'll do an avatar bet for a month that Sasha beats Eddie no problem. You in?

Yeah, I actually think Brock would of won if he was 20 pounds lighter. Did you notice how big Brocks neck got, he must be scared of getting knocked out again or something. Did you notice Brocks power was less than it was in recent fights, its like his punches had no snap on them after the 2nd round.

Yeah , I hear ya. Strength and bodybuilding is not the same thing. You can bodybuild withought having too much strength. I would like to see him stronger NOT look stronger.

But yeah , I agree with what youre saying.

That was the only advice he was responding to. They tried the cheerleader ra-ra stuff and Brock was dismissing it because he was cooked. Everyone knew it. At that point all Brock wanted to hear was how to get out of the fight concious.

The fight wasn't entertaining but I actually figured it would be awful so no big complaints there. Chambers won by a bigger margin than a split decision but atleast the right guy got the winl.

Brock, while never a great fighter by any means, looked the worse that I've seen him. Maybe he won't be the same since suffering a ko to Wlad, not sure though.

I think people are underestimating Chambers a bit. While he'll never be compared to Louis or Ali or such, he still looks to be a solid guy. He has some skill to go with his speed and defense. Not sure if he has the size or power to compete with some of the giants out there.

I also think he has a decent shot against Povetkin. I think Povetkin should be the favorite but there's no way I'd write Chambers off in that one.

He was real slow & he punches looked like shots in sparring, not a title eliminator.

Noone said it is a bodybuilding contest. Noone is implying Chambers and Brock need to bulk up and get slow and lethargic, no.

But I believe these soft looking and light punchers like Chambers could benefit from adding some strength training, and upper body muscle.............especially given that Chambers seems to have so little chest musculature.

Noone is going to benefit from getting body builders size, no, but when you are that light punching, and have very little chest musculature, I think some muscle needs to be added, a certain amount of increased power can safely be added in without hindering speed and or stamina.

When you look at the physique of someone like Brock or Chambers, you wouldnt' think they are professional fighters who supposedly train and condition themselves to compete on the world level.

didn't see the chambers/brock fight and povetkin might be the best prospect, but I can't seeing povetkin being anything other than a contender. good but not spectacular. chambers is quick and tough but he is simply too small in todays game.

You're right. The correct scoring, as I had it, was 118-110 Chambers. Brock only clearly won 1 and 10. :nod
