Good movie. Could have done without Tyson though. i have heard his story a million times over, as hes told it in multiple movies. Still great, but wish they would have subbed in someone so we would get 3 fresh stories..........................................But not Oscar......That story would be to weird for anyone

What? That makes zero sense unless he shat all over the ring.

It makes a lot of sense. That's why they started holding weigh ins the day before fights instead the day of the fight. Today, people rehydrate close to 20 pounds in the 24 hours after a fight.

Holyfield and Qawi fought a 15-rounder in Atlanta in July. It was hot as hell. Of course he lost a ton of weight during the fight.

I remember reading that Sugar Ray Leonard weighed 135 in the dressing room after the first Duran fight in Montreal. He lost at least 12 pounds during the 15-round fight (they weighed in the day of the fight).

And that was on a cold night in Montreal and everyone in the audience was wearing coats.

That's why they moved the weigh ins. When guys were drying out to make weight, and then they started losing more weight during the fight, they became more susceptible to brain injuries.

That's also why, back then fewer guys moved up in weight. They actually fought in divisions closer to their walking-around weights. If a guy fought in three divisions during his entire career 30 years ago, that was incredible.

Today, a guy will fight in three divisions (like Broner) before he even fights someone who is any good. Because they aren't actually fighting at the weight they weighed in for.

If they held same-day weigh ins today, every title below heavyweight would be vacated. Because none of those guys could actually compete for 12 rounds at the dried out weight they weigh-in at.

Its not that crazy, considering the exertion that they'd go through.

I remember losing 10 lbs in a rugby game in the heat once. And i wasn't exerting myself like these guys
