After watching Marquez and Pac several times...i think Marquez did win. so many threads about this, just wanted to let u know. either marquez won or a draw, still it was close enough and wont consider it a robbery.
Marquez have a case for winning because he did do some good countering work but he also have a case for losing because he didn't really come to win. He didn't showed the judges that he really wanted wanted the win by being more offensive, all he did all night was just backed up and counter. You can't or shouldn't complain about losing if you don't put enough effort into tying to win. This fight could have went 115-113 114-114 113-115 to both guys and the judges gave it to PAC for trying to make a fight out of it.
The **** drinker didnt take the title from Pac. **** drinker became slow and sluggish on rounds 5,6,7,8,9,10,11 and 12 and Pac got faster, stronger and more accurate. Pac dominated the second half. He won. The champ gets the benefit of the doubt.
^^^one of the most stupid *******s post I seen^^^ Marquez boxed the **** out of pac dominated him with pure science... This is what's true. *******s are mostly bandwagon hopper, who don't appreciate The art of boxing. Basically what this *******s said " marquez did good but he didn't stand infront of pac and get destroyed like others, instead he used lateral movements and boxed which is boring to me because he didn't let himself get beat up and hit manny" **** off *******s.
To fight on that level vs the p4p best and beat him in the eyes of most at his age, that's just remarkable. Who knows how many more years he has left to compete on the highest of levels? But what is also pretty remarkable is how through the years he was determined and despite everyone saying he couldn't do it proved the world wrong. Even alot of the Mexican fans doubted him, but naturally supported him. At first because of all the punches thrown by Pacman I gave the edge to him, but couldn't make up my mind on a draw either. After rewatching it 3 times, Marquez definitely outlanded him despite throwing less.
