    What would you suggest?

not being serious about any of these ideas but just spitballing ideas here

Reducing the weight classes - Not going as extreme to go back to the original eight weights but there isnt any need for some divisions

Get rid of Minimumweight, Super Flyweight and maybe Featherweight but perhaps add a weight inbetween Cruiser and Heavyweight seeing as its 175-200 llbs

Injury time? - Reduce the number of rounds to 10 and add injury time like there is in football (soccer) to compensate for all the breaks for things like Glove bindings and spat out gumshields etc. i realise this idea is a bit far fetched but again im just spitballing

Rehydration Limits - An extra weigh in on fight night to stop fighters like Chavez and Alvarez who use this as an unfair advantage

Stricter Drug testing - Mandatory blood and urine tests

One Major Sanctioning body - much like FIFA controls football world wide we need another Sanctioning body that holds control over all 4 of the main bodies

    Anyone got any other ideas?

Weight classes should be the weight you are fighting at. I hate seeing for example zab judah and josh clottey fight at 147 , on fight night zab is 147ish while clottey is 165ish

Clottey was actually 156 but I see you're point.

yeah some of the weights guys blow up to is just rediculous. I always thought it was bad with guys who were gaining 12 lbs. Chavez jr takes it to a whole new level though.

Erase all weights separated by like 4 pounds, prob could go back to the old weights plus maybe minimum and cruiser and maybe super middle

i think boxings biggest problem is just TV exposure media coverage, boxing used to be on all the time, on regular TV even during the day time

people will watch fights if they know when they are and whose fighting and when its convenient

put boxing on and advertise and people will watch

Floyd vs canelo then...Floyd will be around 151, canelo could be 170+ higher weight then super middle weight. If very everyone adjusted then it would get a more accurate as to who is the best for their weight class

In one the Golovkin video, his trainer mentioned HBO wanted to place micro chips on a gloves to measure the speed and power of the punches, but was later rejected by someone. I say change that from being optional to mandatory to add more interest and bringing more science and preciseness will do that. For example, how hard or fast was that punch and compare that to the reporting of how far was the home run or how fast was the pitch.

Has there every been an elimination of a weight division? That one is not likely.

I don't believe in rehydration clauses cause that's dangerous to the fighter.

I've always felt that the biggest negative about boxing is all the belts per division. The term "champion" is utterly worthless in boxing. If each weight division had only one true champion, it would be easier for casuals to follow the sport.

All of the shady judging is also a sore eye to the sport. There is no other sport where you could he dominating the event and still lose. Fights like Lara/Williams and Bradley/Pac turn the casuals off from boxing.

-All unification fights should be 15 rounds.
-The licensing process for fighters should be more exhaustive so that fighters with symptoms of brain damage don't slip through the cracks.
-A national oversight committe should be established to review the performance of judges, referees and state boxing commissions. For this to work, the committee must be given the legal authority to suspend and/or fine officials whose performance has been classified as consistently sub-standard.

for championships ive always kinda liked the idea of having regional (nations) championships like us welterweight champion british etc. and then having 1 world championship per weight division.

I always thought it would be interesting to have the judges scorecard visable after every round. Would certainly make the last round interesting if a fighter knows exactly where he stands

They wanted this for Khan vs Maidana too. It would have been a fantastic addition to that shitfarce that they call compubox
