I'd take Charles, but its hard, Giardello had a very good jab and boxed very well, Charles would be jabbing with him and both would earn some good points, too close for comfort Charles would reckon and turn on the heat, he may just outwork Joey in a fast paced one, he possibly gets knocked down on the way, but i see his blinding fast combos just doing more than would Joey's good work of hooks and jabs at times.

Charles was in his prime at LH ,after his Army service ,Giardello was best at 160lbs,I think I might go for Joey by close dec.Charles improved physically quite a bit after his hitch in the Army ,that fighter would beat Giardello .

You're totally right, and i thought about that, i give my answer sort of in a p4p sense in the interest of just wanting to give a little insight into analysis. But yeah, i dont feel Charles peaked until he fought at LHW, the case could maybe made he was a great MW also, but Joey was most definitely a great 160pounder.

Charles by knockout, the real cinccinati cobra who killed a man in the ring was a devastating puncher and ruthless finisher, giardello doesnt stand a chance. u cant beat charles by counterpunching, u just cant. look what happened to burley.

Charles would have had way too much for Giardello to cope with and I have high regard for Joey Giardello.
