Who can you think of who has been cheated more times than glengoffe johnson and still done well at world level.

I still cant believe he 1-1-1 against Woods all three fights were practically the same.

its his own fault. he could win fights handily but gets lazy making them close calls that dont ever seem to go to him.

So of all these fights, how many do people think he won:

    Dawson
    Woods x2 (Loss & Draw)
    Tarver
    Judah (Draw)
    Gonzalez
    Harmon
    Sheika
    Branco
    Vanderpool
    Ottke
    Kiwanuka
    Sosa

(All his losses bar Hopkins stoppage, and both draws)

Ottke made him look stupid for long periods with his speed and footwork. Yet people will try to tell you Ottke is a bum that only got gifts.

Cmon now robberies Glen is a good fighter but he just has alot of close fights and close rounds. Sure he should have gotten the nod a few times but its not like he was just dominating these fights. He was in the trenches.

I too thought Ottke won that fight.

I don't think Ottke lost as many fights as people claim.

He was just a boring fighter who wasn't willing to take risks.

But he wasn't bad at all, very good defensively and did what it took to win fights with little power.

Johnson was robbed multiple times but he's still had a pretty nice career.

The draw against Woods was unfair although I think their 3rd meeting could've gone either way.
Thought he deserved the win against Dawson as well. Haven't seen any of the other fights.
People will call close fights robberies unfortunately.

    Depends on the close fight.

Take Johnson's fight with Joseph Kiwanuka. Johnson fought his usually fight of straight-forward pressure & punches from both hands. Kiwanuka wasn't standing there letting Johnson whip his @ss. He fought back and he fought back hard.

It was Kiwanuka's 14th fight in the Palace at Auburn Hills. It was Johnson's first. Two judges split with 96-95 cards. The third called it 97-93.

Now if she had called it 96-94 or 96-95 or 95-95, it might have been easier to take. A close decision on all three cards either way is one thing. 7-3 for the house fighter is another.
