    What happened with him? He used to be Canelo's head trainer, but I haven't seen him since the Kovalev bout 2 years ago. Canelo and Eddy also rarely mention him.

    That's Eddy's father. He probably plays a heavy advisor role in training and doesn't feel the need to be in the spotlight.

    Chepo is like 70 and they probably don´t want to drag him around during Covid.
    Plus his son has likely taken fully over as he has now his own stable of talent.

    He is very much there and around but Eddy Reynoso does the hands on training. Also Chapo was ill and in hospital because he got COVID-19 bad.
