About two weeks ago, I made a post talking about how Broner has not fought anybody. People started making all types of excuses for him. I think a fight against Paulie Malignaggi is the best example of DUCKING and CHERRY-PICKING. To be honest, this is one of the biggest duck moves I seen in a long time! :happy Broner rather continue to call out Ricky Burns, when nobody want to see the fight. Then he rather keep making excuses not to fight Gamboa. Then people on this board where saying, "Broner should wait a while before he jumps to 140", so Broner avoids the most exciting division in Boxing (RIGHT NOW) to fight the only female boxer in history to fight with the men, "Paulie" aT 147. Paulie Malignaggi has 32 wins and 7KO's. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANYBODY TO SAY THIS IS NOT A DUCKING MOVE! he currently fights a the weakest division in boxing 135. He is scared to fight at 140 where there are real fights like Rios, Lamont Petterson, Danny Garcia, Matthysse, Khan, Zab, Lundy and Guzman. But he rather jump all the up to 147, to fight Paulie, one of the weakest welterweights in the game. Paulie is ranked 16 in the welterweight division. So in a few months they will fight, and I will have to listen to Broner brag about being an elite fighter when he fights less than average competition. Stop making excuses for this little ***** Broner!
Burns would stop (UD) Broner Broner wants none of that Also I agree with you, he has jumped 140 because it is loaded with talented fighters.
he's not done anything wrong so far. !st fight at 135 was number one guy. No one else wants to fight him at that weight for a reason. There's some great fights out there at 140, but give the guy a break, he's had 1 fight at 135. Now he's gone up 2 weight classes. (yes he's taking on an easy fight. But he's just risen in weight so give him a break!
It's actually Burns' handlers (his promoters) that are keeping him away from Broner. And the decision to skip 140 is actually not his decision. He's being told to go there and, most likely, wait for those 140 guys to jump up.
The only good fight that won't happen is Abril, true Broner dick riders deny this fight would be good. Broner chased Burns and Vazquez belongs to a promoter run by Arum so that can't happen. If I compare Broners resume to say Matthysse does Lucas' blow it away? And he is 7 years older and has shown no interest in Maidana. I think you dislike Broner so anything he does will be wrong while boxers you like get the pass.
Guys like 24 yrs old and just starting to make his move on the world level, jumping up 2 weights after barely being a 135 lber is no easy task Malinaggi looked less than stellar vs Cano but he has the movement and jab to make it interesting if this is who Broner is warming up against i cant wait to see what his prime is gonna be like
Indeed, he's carefully matched against good-known names but less dangerous fighters. Broner should've given the rematch to De Leon cuz definitely he didn't beat him then he should have fought Abril, Vasquez and Burns before to step up in other division which should've been 140 and ****ing NOT 147. 140 is stacked with good quality fighters ( Matthysse,Peterson,Rios,Garcia, and Khan ). Also a fight with Gamboa at 135 would be intersting too. Its obvious that they want to make Broner the next PPV star after Floyd retires but I think they'll fail cuz Broner hasn't Floyd's IQ, gifts and skills and eventually Broner will get badly caught and K.O'd.
Your ****ing retarted if u think 140 is stronger than 147. All of you.... Ill take a break, Broner and floyd in the same timeframe brings out too much ******s. Keep pissing off the ******s MVC
Yes, Burns has left Frank. But he’s left him to join another promoter (Hearn) who doesn’t want any problems: “I haven't seen enough of Ricky. I think Broner is an incredible talent. When I went to see Ricky over the weekend the first thing he said to me was that he wants to fight Broner. I said I have seen him close up. The only reason I think Broner would beat Burns at the moment is he doesn't have the momentum, he's not been in those big fights regularly enough, if we can get him to that stage where his confidence is buzzing and he is really in the routine and motivated then I think he can give Broner a great fight, but I do think Broner is an exceptional talent, not gonna go back on my word, it looks like he is gonna fight Mallignaggi at perhaps 143lbs and once he has done that I am not sure he will ever come back. It wouldn't be the end of the world if he didn't come back, because he is very very special, but so is Ricky Burns and we need that momentum to go into a fight like Broner" Broner’s moving on because Burns' people don’t want any part of him for the time being. Burns already moved up a division to miss him once (fair enough, he grew out of the weight), and he already rejected a fight with him when Broner also moved up with him (again, fair enough, he wasn’t being given enough time for training camp). But now they want a few more fights to build momentum/confidence? Come on, man. Broner ain’t gonna’ sit around forever waiting for him. Especially if there are decent fights to be made in the higher weights.
Hearns don't want to make that fight. And War-ren admitted they offered burns the fight and he turned it down. He's fighting the weakest champ at 140/147, but he's rising 2 divisions so its an intreaging fight. Broner is one of the few upcoming fighters who seems happy to fight anybody right now. If any other 135 fighter rose to welterweight to fight Malignaggi you wouldnt make a post saying he ducking 140. Which shows you have something specific against Broner.
It is an easy fight for Broner. Malinaggi is too small, has negligable power, and his boxing skills are overrated. He can only move to his left.
But yeah, there's no doubting that his jump up to 147 is a cherry pick. No offence to Malignaggi, but by today's standards he's not your average, well-sized welterweight. Not to mention he hits as hard as a featheweight.
