Folks, Glass Jaws exist in Boxing. That is a Fact. So all these excuses that people throw around after their favorite fighter gets brutally and embarrassingly KOed by a guy with a sub 50% KO rate don't fly. So when I see stuff posted on here after someone gets KOed by a guy with a 30% KO rate like: *He didn't see the punch coming *He just has bad Defense his Chin is fine (this is one of the most idiotic excuses I have ever seen if you think about it if a guy has a Chin his Defense doesn't matter anyway because he can block punches with his Iron Chin) *He wasn't holding his Chin the right way *He was weight drained *He was punched by a 240 pound man (despite the fact they were arm punches) *He wasn't focused for the fight and didn't train *That punch would have KOed anybody :roflatsch We talk Chins on ESB. It is what distinguishes this Boxing forum as the best on the internet. If it wasn't I would not post here.
The 10oz gloves are the difference here if they were wearing the 8oz gloves I have no doubt Mayweather would cut his face to ribbons or be able to stop him.
A better question is how will Pacquiao's scar tissue eyebrows hold up to Bradley's lethal headbutts? I can't remember a Bradley fight where there wasn't multiple headbutts involved.
Excellent post ... Too many nuthuggers on this forum are denying that their heroes has fragile glass jaws, despite highly educated expert posters (chin checkers) are enlightening them with irrefutable facts about their glass mandibles. Glass jaws exists.. It can't be denied.. The chin checkers are NOT delusional fan boys, we call it as we see it and we use science and crystal clear irrefutable evidence to support our posts.
Rico, how much do you think conditioning plays a part in punch resistance? We all know Khan will never have a good chin, but he seems to be able to take a punch better since hiring Ariza.
What Power Punchers has Chauncey ever fought to prove his Chin? He hasn't and this whole thing about him having a good Chin is absolute crap put him in there with a Klitschko and lets see how that Chin would hold up.
Someone is getting starched in the Latimore-Quintana fight. 2 glass jaws. Still Latimore's is far worse so even though Quintana is shot I still think he's gonna win. Latimore is in the top 10 in terms of glass jaws IMO.
