So what have we learnt after seeing Chisora in the best physical shape of his life?

Was Whyte ever in trouble?

Nay! Chisora was hurt several times from the opening bell... Whyte ALLOWED the fight to continue.

 

It was a gamble worth taking, but in all honesty Chisora looked no better than he has done before, except for being a bit more active throughout the fight.

However, his punch resistance looked worse and he did fade, which isn't like Chisora at all.

Coming in heavier/bulkier is obviously better for him as his chin is better and he still has a decent enough engine.

 

But how much bulk do you have to lose ...to lose neck strength/ durability lol? He wasn't that shrunk bro? Come on.

He got caught same way he did with Haye, he got complacent, gassed, slower reaction time plus Whyte hits hard now and he has practised that left hook alot.

Chisora, I don't believe, is any less durable that he was in the first fight. Whyte just got tougher.

 

Chisora was up on the cards despite having two points taken off. Whyte was in trouble actually. Whyte boxed smartly and was clearly conserving energy so was probably going to come on even stronger late. But the second point deduction definitely caused Dereck to drop his guard. But the bottom line is that Chisora was on course to win the fight.

 

None of them were going for points, and Whyte couldn't care less about the cards -- stoppage was the game plan from the start/

Even going by Mark tibbs narrative at the pre fight pressers. They will meet and greet Chisora and put his lights out.

See unlike Fury who WANTS to knock his next opponent spark out... Dillian Whyte actually can... and trains for it.

He boxed smart, and let the fight continue ONLY to minimise risk. But he had chisora hurt SEVERAL times... and I mean 2 punches away from stoppage hurt.

So Chisora was never going win that fight. Whyte was fresh in every round, and never looks hurt at all.

He blocked pretty much every power punch, he's right hand covering instantly on every exchange.

But yeah I guess we can all bury heads in the sand and ignore that Whyte had a gameplan... and believe that Chisora was on route to win.

 

I can’t believe any fighters gameplan is to be losing the fight going into the 11th and go for the knockout, especially against a fighter as durable as Chisora...

Unless of course they knew the ref was on side...

 

Not sure why you mentioned Fury seeing as he stopped Chisora with consummate ease and gave him the most brutal beating of his career to date...

As I said, Chisora was on course to win. I’m well aware that Whyte had a game plan and pointed that out in many threads in the aftermath of the fight.

Not sure why you think you are schooling me on this. There was one round left and Chisora was up on points. If you think it was Whyte’s gameplan to be down on the cards in the penultimate round then you are a pure spastic.

 

I think it showed how whyte is a bit underrated. Chisora looked pretty decent, I think the shape he was in made him look sharper, his movement seemed better but he didn’t catch whyte the same way he did the first fight. I think that’s down to whyte’s adjustments, he was more relaxed and seemed less urgent to get his punches off so was exchanging less. Chsirora was winning for me but it was a case of him not being able to maintain it, it was only a matter of time and Dillion started taking over. I really this whyte is decent because the chisora that turned up would have beaten a lot of fighters that night, he gets underrated as well.

I never said I was schooling you on anything. I mentioned fury because outside of that 2012 win over Chisora, Fury is known to be feather fisted in today division.

And I fittingly said "Bury your head in the sand" because you only talk about the left hook that landed, and not the other occasions where Chisora was rocked...even by a cross from Whyte.

Was Muhammed Ali down on the cards with Foreman? Did he have a gameplan to tire foreman out and go for the KO?

Anyways I am not going to waste time arguing because Dillian won anyway.

My personal belief is that he was always going to win by KO, and that he beats Derrick 9/10 times today.

 

Ali-Foreman was a completely different fight and there was no evidence Chisora was fatigued at the weekend. He still had good output as far as I can see.

I’m well aware Chisora was rocked multiple times.

Likewise I don’t wish to debate this fight much further. On your last point you’re right in that Whyte now probably has the beating of Chisora comfortably if they were to box again.

 

Whyte needs to move on now
Forget Parker too as there is nothing to gain in a rematch bar a few quid
He needs to get his shot at a belt

Joshua will knock him the hell out tho but he has to give it a go
