I don't know much about him except that he allegedly got a gift against Marquez and got robbed against Juarez in their first fight. But the man put the name of Arturo on his trunk. That, alone, says a lot about the man. I am now more interested in John, it can't be helped, so I would like to see more of his fights. What bouts should I watch ? Thanks people !

Yes, Marquez who's 10 pounds heavier now would probably beat him. Not sure who would beat him at 126 though. Maybe Gamboa. He probably beats all the other top guys in the weight class though. I still don't think he got a gift against Marquez. I scored the rounds 6-6 (most press actually at the fight scored it wider for that for John) and Marquez was deducted two points, at least one of which was legitimate. That said, I wouldn't go out of my way to watch his earlier fights. I've only seen bits and pieces of them, but he's mostly been a counterpunching technician.
