I think you guys are being too harsh on Cintron. Sure, he shut down towards the end, but Canelo's punches were definitely wearing him down. I'm not a fan of the man but it seems like everyone wants to jump and call Cintron's performance an acting job when he was actually getting a severe beatdown.

I think after the first knockdown, he acted like he wouldn't mind if the fight was stopped. He did try to fight back though.
The first knockdown, Cintron just took a knee. He could have used his footwork to move around Alvarez and come back with a right hand to the temple but instead he just quit, i dont believe he was that hurt. The fight should have been stopped at the end of the 4th though, Cintron was ****ed against those ropes,
I don't like to say fighters are acting but it sure looked weird to me. After the first knock down it looked like he wanted the ref to stop it then the second knockdown he was doing some weird **** against the ropes. I don't know maybe his past just makes it look bad because he's done things like this before but only he knows.
cintron is a quitter also since he left manny steward he stopped putting his weight behind punches and started doing these stupid uncoordinated arm punches.
if you're not LaMotta 'nya keep gettin hit with those thudding overhand rights that Cintron couldn't avoid, you'd be drunk, too.
Great Performance by Canelo, looked solid in there. Cintron is a half hearted joke though. Also Doc your becoming a fan boy Canelgayo. I can seen ESB in a few years having lots of these.
He was there to collect a pay check and that was it ! Nothing, about him was there to be competitive in this match.
Dude quit. Going got tough and cintron ran the other direction. What a waste of talent. No disrepect to Canelo.
Cintron is a strange soul but it took tremendous courage to fight back when he was clearly ****ed, ropes held him up when the ref jumped in, not sure if people have realised how sickening those last shots were, Cintron's head rocked right back and he was out of it, perfect stoppage.
