I think this fight would be exciting with Berto winning late KO or UD. But would definetly be a great match up. I think Cintron would have a chance to win.I dont know how much he has left since Margorito took his manhood twice. What do you guys think ?
This would be such a good matchup, there's no way it would happen. Not on Berto's end anyway. Berto has been seemingly shaky about the idea of fighting Collazo, FFS..

This is the fight I would prefer Berto to take rather than Collazo (reason being because he already faced a slick boxer in Forbes). This gives him experience with a hard hitting puncher and big man, and will test berto chin (which he will need to get checked if he ever faces a Miguel Cotto) and his ability to fight a skilled big man (he is going to need this if he faces a Paul Williams or Antonio Margarito). Its alot of positives in taking such a fight. As for who I think will win I say Berto (by UD) for the simple fact that if berto takes cintron power well, Cintron will become flustrated and will get taken out of the which gives Berto a good chance for the W.
He is considered the hardest puncher at the welter weight by many fighters, boxing analyst, and boxing insiders. They say that because he has beat a lot of fighters with that one punch KO. The other fighters at Welter weight are strong too but destroy their opponents mostly on workrate. Cintron is always looking for that one punch KO.
berto definitely has the skills, but his heart would be tested. i'd like to see if he'd respect kermit's power and try to outbox him and probably hurt kermit with his speed which could lead to a ko in a best case scenario, but we know kermit ain't gonna back up and if andre tires like he did with stevie he's gonna be in for a long night and can't be in his comfort zone cuz unlike stevie kermit is just as strong as berto and it would just take one of kermits right hands to connect to knock berto from his senses. i think since berto is champ already he should take on all comers but imo they brought him up too fast
I think Cintron's will can be broken. Berto has a few questions to answer. I just think if Berto got past him which I think he would like I said above, It would help him adjust to the bigger welters.
cintron has a one punch ko if he cant landed it he will lose also cintron has a shaky chin and berto can bang real hard with some fast combinations
I'm not sure that Dibella would put both his fighters in against each other right now. Berto has leaky defense and a weak chin which is a recipe for disaster against someone that can punch like Cintron. Someone featherfisted like Collazo is a more reasonable fighter for Berto or even Quintana who is also promoted by Dibella. I think fighting Margarito twice and watching him dismantle Cotto has made Cintron tougher and more confident. We'll see what happens when he faces Lovemore N'dou in his next fight.
