I won't bother posting this in the General Forum because it is an absolute cesspool of intellectualism. However, I respect the opinions held here, even when I disagree. They are thoughtful and well-researched. So, what think y'all of this turkey?
Good speed, good power, good skills. The speed and power of Boystov are better then Povetkin's. Boystov hasn't really been tested on the top ten level yet, but he did recently score an impressive Ko over a fringe contender in Bidenko. Give him another year or so and he'll be ready to make a big move. Boystov is a little small for the modern heavyweight division. I'd say is the best young ( under 23 ) prospect in heavyweight boxing. Not an A+ prospect, but if he improves a little I think he will win one of the four world championship belts before he retires.
He looked promising against the tomato cans, its been a bit obvious since he stepped up he isnt quite as good as first thought. Against Bidenko he was getting outboxed and his power has dried up against the better journeymen. A decent prospect especially if he keeps improving
He could be a serious force in the division with the right trainer. He has bags of talent but they must be developed corectly.
He needs work if he's going to be a force at the top of the division, but he has a lot going for him that I like- an actual young guy in the heavyweight division with a good amateur background, staying busy and slowly but surely stepping up in opposition on a fight-by-fight basis. That said, his power doesn't seem to be as electrifying as one might once have thought, he seems pretty one-dimensional, lacking in upper body or lateral movement, and all-around doesn't look to possess anything right now that will pose serious problems for, say, the Klitschkos. Even still, I like the youth, I like the activity, I generally like his style, and I do hope he makes some noise over the next few years. He should at least be capable of making the top 10 for a good block of time at the rate he's going.
