    Clay had the title in his sights at the time and by the time he was champ, Jones was on the downside (loss to Daniels, KO loss to Chavalo) IMO he would have stopped Jones fairly easy second time around.
    How about Rock-LeStarza I? I've heard that was razor-thin close. Anyone see it? Is it available? Should Rock have been 48-1?

    Very close fight and tricky enough to score. Jones gave a very good account of himself and stylistically troubled Clay. I had Clay by two rounds but wouldn't dispute any other close outcome: either way.

    I have watched this fight many times and scored it three times. Twice I had Jones winning 5-4-1, and once I had Ali winning 5-4-1. Dead even fight which is hard to judge on film because Ali appears to throw a lot of combinations against Jones' guard without penetrating it while Jones' quick hands allowed him to score often on the "hands-held-low and lean back" Ali.
