Will this be a good scrap? :think

Does it constitute a major step up in class for Nathan? A step too far, perhaps? I'm not sold on the guy as anything other than an interesting action fighter...even against Boyle, he surrendered his considerable height and reach advantage and proved a poor infighter, taking way more punches than he ought to have.

I simply haven't seen enough of Courtney to have a clear idea on this one.

    Common opponents:

Varuzhan Davtyan lost on points to Cleverly, and was stopped in two by Fry.

Tony Oakey lost a 12 round decision to Cleverly, and beat Fry in a Prizefighter 3-rounder.

I don't think its a step up from Oakey (about the same level), but certainly a step up from those Afro-bums he was fighting a little while back.

I don't see it being a 'good scrap' really, Fry doesn't have the most pleasing style if your looking for an all-action fight - will be intriguing if Cleverly can't figure him out though :good

Personally, I see it as a lop-sided UD for Cleverly.

It's a step up from most of his opponents. But its a different style more than anything, Fry is quite well schooled.

I think Clev is a good all-round fighter and will go far. He might not beat the best but I think he'll at least challenge them.

Cleverly's still just a kid and his body still needs to mature. I don't actually think he could step up to the next level for another year or so...

Oakey took the fight with Cleverly when he wasn't in the best of shape if I remember rightly.

Cleverly's got alotta maturing to do, but i like him, he has this disposition of moving away from the game plan at times which could get him into trouble.

Funny build as well, he's got this big body target for the opponent, but hasn't shown a susceptibilty to it so for, he's tall but likes it on the inside and close counters, hasn't got a lot of leverage and not rangy for such a tall fella, he has those T-rex arms.
