I think Cotto would beat him on points. Clottey doesn't offer enough sutained pressure. I also think Williams would outpoint him. However, I think Clottey has a very good chance against Margarito, who doesn't do in-and-out at all. He'd stand right in front of Clottey, who's basically a black version of him; very durable, very good chin. Though Clottey doesn't throw half as many punches, he has a much better defence. An on-form Clottey....Draw?!?!?
interesting i agree with you on cotto winning and i believe he would beat margo, berto, collazo and cintron if mosley has not aged a lil too much like we saw in his last fight and gets his stamina better i think he could beat clottey also on points so basical he loses to cotto, williams and a fit mosley ARUM SHOULD GET HIS ACT TOGETHER AND GIVE CLOTTEY SOME BIG FIGHTS
Clottey will beat Cotto. I feel like he has the chin to step through some of Cotto's punches, enough at least to be able to catch Cotto and that semi-glass jaw... Margo would be long, tough, and boring. No call Williams would be long, tough and boring. Williams UD.
If he went thru the figter's..? That would mean he beat them so, YES. Can he beat them, IMO, Prob not. (Tho I do give him a great chance against Williams) Not So much with Margarito II or a Cotto.
Clottey has as much a good chance as any other elite welter weight. He just needs to raise to the occasion on fight night.
