He would say 100% Stevenson, but they would be both hard fights for different reasons. I guess there is more chance of him outboxing Stevenson then Cloud.
See id go the otherway. Cloud footwork is awful. If you can box him beat him to the jab move him around he has a tendency just to follow you about. Doesn't move his head much, doesn't cut the ring off to well and get set in heavy bag mode as Jones calls it. Bellew is no Bhop (who is?) but the game plan is already there. I haven't see that much of Stevenson but Cloud is the weaker of the two fighters. Tuff and good power good combinations - but doesnt hit as hard punch for punch as Stevenson. Both good fights - and both winnable 1 has just destroyed a world class stylist the other lost to a cagy vet and then was close with campillo If Cloud wins he will be considered to be in form and dangerous but I think Toney matches up against him well
What do people think of Bellews chin? People say hes chinny but the onl times he has been dropped is when he was proper struggling with the weight
Bellew is extrordinary ordinary.He talks a better game than he fights.He will find out what it's like to be an out classed pretender when he steps it up against the elite of the division. By elite,I certainly don't refer to Cleverly.
I think if he works on his boxing and not trying to decapitate people with one shot he will do better. Froch lost against Kessler and from that point on his output changed he used the jab more through more combinations - That's how id like to see Bellew fight use the jab land the right hand but don't over commit find the balance off putting enough on it so it lands and hurts but not so its a wild swing...
After being at the weigh in yesterday I think this is a genuine 50/50 fight, Cloud looks very motivated while Stevenson looks to me like he's taking Cloud lightly.. If this goes past 4 rounds I envision a war.. All about them first 4 rounds for me.. On the other note, I wanna fight Stevenson as he's the man who beat the man.. Dawson was the best in the division and he just cleaned him out in one so that's my reasoning behind that..
Might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb Tony I don't see Cloud having enough. Adonis' athleticism and power should be enough to get the win. If it goes late then things even up.
The price on clod to win on points is massive, am I just throwing my money away on a little punt on him?
