Codrington's Done

If two promoters are ready to call it a day, I hope Jaidon will listen. The word from his most recent fight was that he looks like a ruined fighter. Too much damage to his brain already.

I hope he's in OK shape financially and that he has other career options. Too bad, and respect to Jaidon for giving it all he had.

 

He hardly started before he consideres stopping. What is that about?

 

People obviously see something about him that appears to have declined significantly. If those people are the ones who stand to make money off your fights, that should sound the alarms.

Codrington suffered brutal KO losses -- the one against Green was a career-changer -- and should explore other avenues.

 

He came off genuinely likeable on The Contender and has legit skill. It's a shame that he's taken vicious punishments in two fights already before he really had the time to show his stuff. I'm frankly glad I switched the channel last week without knowing his fight was going to show because I don't want to see a boxer who looks like a shell of himself at such a young age.

 

Codrington is living proof that you gotta have a chin to compete in this game.

 

i was at the fight and he went in confident but got hit with a big shot in rd1 and his legs just were not there for the rest of the fight he was tripping over himself and holding onto the ropes the whole fight i wish him the best i really liked him just wish his chin was a little better

Yeah he looked bad but it was mostly his footwork and balence which was horrible. His punches while wild were fast and hard. And the guy he fought is actually alot better then his record shows and has only been stopped 2 times in 21 loses and Codrington is one of those KO's. Codrington was also much much smaller then him.

I think we should wait a little longer to see if he is really done.

 

He should be studied by Kirkland who will be fighting Vera on Saturday which is who Codrington destroyed in his first Contender match.

 

Jaidon mentally is a very weak guy. His never been the same since his father died. Dam shame as i really liked that kid and he looked promising. But vs Bika the guy just gave up..

Jaidon has no chin.....and Bika has alot of power, all that spells is bad news

 

Rewatch that fight. Trust me Jaidon mentally just crumbled when his power didnt bail him out and he couldnt hurt Bika anymore. He simply gave in.
