I haven't been on the board lately but I wanted to say that I thought Collazo deserved the decision this past Saturday. If you're the house fighter for HBO your job is pretty much safe it seems. Just ask Jermain Taylor. I had Collazo winning 7 rounds to Berto's 5. Whether or not the point taken away for holding was justified, it was still deducted meaning that even if Berto had managed to break even on rounds (i've watched the fight twice and I've had trouble finding that 6th round to give him) he would have lost by a point.

Collazo is the hard-luck fighter in the welterweight division. Ricky Hatton hijacked his belt 3 years ago and now Collazo can't wear the belt he deserves cuz of 3 judges who were watching a different fight. I like Berto, he's an exciting guy to watch. He, however, did not win that fight saturday. Break it down all you want. I know what I saw. And the 116-111 scorecard??? Are you kidding me?

There is like 100 other people on this forum that feel the same way as you do including me but its in the past. Collazo will soon get another crack at Berto and hopefully he will KO Berto this time that way we dont have to hear from his fans ever again.....:good

Yeah it's in the past but here's the thing...Berto will never fight Collazo again. Luis is one of those guys that you stay as far away from as you can. You fight him only if he has a belt or if he's your mandatory. Don't think for one second that team Berto doesn't know this. They're looking at it like a big test that their fighter passed before moving on to bigger and better things. It's just a damn shame because Collazo is literally 2 points away from being an upper-echelon fighter. Nobody's gonna sit here and convince me that Hatton beat him and his argument was stronger than Berto's. With no real market value, Collazo is gonna be one of those very good boxers who fall through the cracks. I'm sorry but the guy deserves better than what the sport has given him. Hopefully he got a decent paycheck but then again I wouldn't be surprised if the judges stole that too.

Yeah I know. I was very busy this past week. Internet was down on top of that. I knew immediately after the fight that the pro-Collazo threads would be flooding the board. I just couldn't sign on to see them. Better late than never. I don't have any friends who like boxing so I needed to vent.

Your late and it wasn't a robbery...114-113 is a fair score..116-111 was bs...it coulda gone either way...I had it 7-5 Berto and a point deduction too...Collazo needed the 12th to win and he didn't get it

I'd imagine that you're one of the few that believe Berto won. I'm not interested in clicking on your posts. Why waste the time? I saw the fight twice and I remember the swing rounds. The fight is still fresh in my head. I'll bet you grasped at a whole box of straws to put together your round-by-round.

FEW THAT BELIEVE BERTO WON! The only people that count thought Berto won I know that..there are plenty of fans on ESB who felt the fight coulda gone either way...Berto won man, get over it...The close rounds gotta go to the champ..Berto was the champ and he got the close rounds..114-113 is a perfect score either way...You don't watch much boxing other than HBO do you? You needa study up a little bit lil man...

No he wasn't...you dont know to much about boxing..THAT WASN'T A "ROBBERY." A robbery is Holyfield/Lewis 1...even Valuev/Holyfield is a robbery...berto/collazo was a close fight that got 1 bad score and 2 good scores...It was only 1 point...2 of the judges had it even going into the 12th and Berto easily took the 12th..Robbery, please man, aint no robbery...
