My defensive back/receiver coach has had us run 40 40yd sprints at the end of our 3 hour practice for the past three days and I can honestly say I've never felt so out of shape in my life. Is my cardio not where it needs to be or is my coach just giving us a lot? I'm just proud I didn't throw up.

He wants us to be the best conditioned team in the state..at this rate I figure we'll be the best in the world. I'm just hoping the dizziness will pass.

40 is too much. Last year when I played we only did 4  Although we had to jog back after each sprint to where we started.

Heh, or most injured and sickly players on a team.

Haha, anything that doesnt kill you can only help you, even if the help is knowing not to do the **** again :-D

Nah, sounds rough though, coach may be being a little to hard on yall..

I mean he gives us breaks, but still...its exhausting and I don't think I can take one more day in a row.

As much as I hate it I understand their reasoning. We're not the strongest or biggest team here, and Missouri/Illinois is a big conference so were working on what we can.

A few more and thats a mile worth of sprinting. Not good on the knees, wouldn't be surprised if your linemen and heavier guys start getting shin splints.

They don't do them. Neither do any of the backs. Just receivers and dbs
