Congrats to bika for earning $750,000 pay day. I think this fight should help him get bigger fights and bigger pay days. This was the best contender and I hope if they make another season I expect it to be better seeing what the contender did this season. Hopefully next season can feature real top prospect and bigger name vets to make it a great series.

Bika is a very tough fighter. The only problem is he throws really wide punches, which have no chance of landing against the elite SMW's. As for Jaidon, he just held his gloves up , and Bika was constantly landing to the side of Jaidons head (with the wide looping shots, landing outside of Jaidons gloves). Congratulations to Bika, he could beat most SMW's.

One of the reasons this was the best season is that unlike previous Contender final fights, this fight featured legitimate CONTENDERS - a flawed prospect in Codrington and an established fringe contender in Bika. Whatever their respective flaws in techique (Bika) or punch resistance (Codrington), you could see these guys winning a belt. Can anybody really say that about guys like Manfredo or the Latin Fake - to say nothing of Grady Brewer???

you're right. A guy like Bika could probably have won a belt off a guy like Berrio if they had fought.

Bika should make for some great fights, as long as they match him correctly. Right now he's one step up from being the 168 pound version of a younger Teddy Reid. I'd love to see him fight guys like Green, Miranda, or Taylor. Kessler and Pavlik are too well schooled for him, and Andrade might be too strong.

Codrington should take a month off to heal, come back slowly, then go for a late '08 ESPN 2 date with Jean Pascal.
