I think Vic's best weight and most effective weight is superfly. Definitely does not look as powerful at bantam. Can't bully his opponents like he could at fly and superfly. I think he might be biting more than he can chew in terms of wanting to fight the Vasquez-Marquez winner.

Don't think he was really serious about those comments. Sounded more like self promotion more than anything else.

Maybe it was the broken hand, but Vic didn't look right, he took a lot of good punches, he did ok considering he only threw a couple of combos

Actually your points are quite muddled to say the least. Are you now calling yourself a expert in boxing or are these your opinions that just back up your muddled thoughts.

Granted you think Fenech and Kostya are ahead of Vic.

Its really good to see your unbiased views in action Contendo. Fenech fought for the IBF when the IBF was similar in reputation to the present IBO. Satoshi Shingaki was 8-1 who retired 11-3. Vic Darchinyan fought Irene Pacheco who was 30-0 and KO'd him in his own backyard. Fenech then won his second title against a Thai that was 14-0 for his second title, that had fought only 3 guys with winning records. Darchinyan beat a guy that had never been KO'd in Dimitry Kirilov and smacked his arse in 5 rounds. He then went and beat a top 10 P4P fighter in Mijares and unified the division for the first time in the history of the division and the sport.

Vic has been fighting "AWAY" for half of his career in his opponents backyards and has come back with the gold all but 2 times. Kosyta didnt even leave his division. Fenech won belts in 3 seperate divisions, Kostya unified one divison, Vic has done what both these fighters have achieved. And is still capable of achieving more.

And before you pass on your boxing industry virtues onto me, I have been around boxing for many years, helping Elias Nasser in other business activities, I dont profess to being a expert, I just love watching the sport. I have heard from Elias's mouth that you want Billy Dib to fight Vic Darchinyan. Thats the reason why I niggle at your comments when you obviously enjoy mocking Vic's accent. If your going to have a go at someone , look at yourself.

And in MY OPINION , your fighter has massive potential and looks the goods BUT have your fighter step up and fight the best in Australia , before you challenge one of the best in the WORLD and certainly one of the best in Australian boxing history. It easy to fire off shots mate, but you need to know the boxing industry is very small and what you say or type gets around very quickly.

See Straight Left, you still can't quote accurately can you??? At what point do I quote or refer to myself as an expert? This is a forum on here open for debate and opinion.

We can debate the championship virtues and credentials of Vic, Fenech and Kostya, as will older guy's with Rose, Famechon, Patrick etc all day long which is a good thing, however I am passing
MY opinion and stand by as such. Again I state that I am a fan of Vic but you consider this to be different.

Let me say this, Mr Nasser is well aware of my intent to match Billy vs. Vic, I’ve never hidden the fact from him and told him to his face at the April Grange show at La Montage. It makes little difference to me that you know it or whoever. The boxing industry may be small but your making out that you have some sort of inside ‘scoop’ when all your doing is getting fringe comments thrown to you by Elias.

A challenge does not disrespect Vic, it's what boxing is about - challenges and to be frank it's a sign of respect that challengers are out there wanting to fight him. Vic, and I safely assume Elias would acknowledge, is not immune to other boxers wanting to challenge him as Vic has done making challenges to the likes of Vasquez and Marquez, as well as one period last year challenging Manny Pac! Calling out world-rated Featherweights and higher division champions makes Vic as much as a target as the next person.

I know for a fact many of the people I speak with see a potential Billy / Vic fight as one that has great appeal. Good debate and discussion may lead to the Australian boxing fans wanting the fight, thus making it advantageous to both Vic and Billy. Vic and Elias always talk about wanting big bouts back here in Australia, well Vic has a world-rated Featherweight sitting right here in Billy Dib so potentially, it’s a good Australian bout.

Vic is doing his thing, where doing ours focusing on IBF champ - Orlando Salido or WBA champ - Chris John, whoever presents first and seeing what eventuates for us there. If Billy's and Vic's paths were to cross in the future, fantastic for all. We’d welcome the opportunity to feel Vic’s ‘power’!

I don't niggle at your comments, I actually find them quite funny actually but remember, when your singing from the Vic song sheet as you do, not all of us have to agree with the song.

Straight Left... Why should Kostya have 'left' his division??

He dominated the bloody 140lbs division like no other in the games history. Why put on unnatural, or excess weight in order to move into another division? He was comfortable at 140 right up until the Hatton bout.... his only struggle with weight was in that fight. Inactivity and injury plaqued his last 5 years... not weight dramas.

Ducking and dodging opponents for the sake of seeking out easy grab belts is ****ing ludicrous and belies the reason so many bull**** governing bodies are financially existing. Tszyu stuck to his guns and faced all willing to attempt uprooting him at 140. One got him on a bad night, the other got him in his last fight. Either way, he reclaimed what was rightfully his and defended it to the hilt where possible.

Contendo you dont need to sing from the Vic song sheet. I sing from the supporting Australian boxing song sheet.

Also your comments are starting to become very fictional to say the least. I asked Elias today whether you spoke to him in regards to the fight at the La Montage, his comment and I quote "He said Hello to me and that was it" he said he heard about the challenge through a third party. So get your story right before you type up your reply. By the way I showed Elias what you said, he didnt seem to be very amused. maybe we should get him on to have a chat.

No probs Straight Left. Elias mustn't have remember the words too quickly - "Hey Elias, how are you, when are we going to let both of them fight?" He was sitting at his table as I was walking past going back out to the dressing rooms so I can clearly recall the conversation.

By all means at all any time show Elias what I've written, I'll happily stand by my comments. You seem to be the one quite happily mis-quoting myself on a number of occasions as I clearly pointed out.

As it stands, I'm more than happy to hear from Elias at any stage if he feels I'm out of order or 'not amused' as you put it. Again, there's certainly nothing I'm going to retract as there's been nothing worth retracting. I've acknowledged Vic's championship credentials yet you still appear to try and want to make it differ from this. You've been the one who's caught out with your form of 'fiction'.

It's just a simple case of you and I differing on opinion. I'm sure both yourself, and I know I won't for what it's worth, lose any sleep over it.

i dont belive he was saying kostya should have left his division, he just pointed out that he didnt, & vic is leaving his comfort zone to get more titles. thats all.
