Maybe because Kessler couldn't touch Ward and was getting punched in the face continuously. I'm a Calzaghe fan but Ward did a much better job on Kessler than Calzaghe did.
Kessler got ****ing hammered to be fair, but it really didnt seem to be a 100% Kessler for whatever reason. Not doing the standard exposed/shot bull****, but as athletes do sometimes, he just seemed to be having an off night. Ward definitely showed a lot more than most (including myself) thought he was capable of. The tourney is really hotting up now. Because of the format the guys who lost in r1 arent totally out of it, so I reckon we can expect them to come back strogn in r2. Still so many awesome fights to come. Really hope the whole concept takes off so we can see similar promotions in other divisions. Its such a rarity in boxing for the best to fight the best, us fans should rejoice that this is happening. Unfortunatel each result comes with the standard US/EU fanboy twats and nationalist bull****, but I'm just enjoying it as a spectacle and trying not to read the GF within a week or so of each fight...
Calzaghe is not American.Lacy was gonna KO Calslappy in 3 whoops but Lacy was shot after fight,he got a gift against Hopkins in America.the GF are 90% morons.
