The powerful Hopoate, 253lbs, controlled the action in all the rounds as he bulldozed the 6.5″ Mirovic, 264 lbs, and consistently connected with hard head and body shots that visibly hurt the veteran. A right hand to the head in round seven staggered Mirovic but he remained upright and in round eight Big Bob complained to the referee Brian McMahon that Hoppa was trying to break his arm in the clinches. In their first fight in 2008 Mirovic’s arm was broken. Both fighters were fatigued in rounds nine and ten and at the conclusion Hopoate was declared the winner by scores Anthony Shipley 99-90, Pat Oconnell 97-94, Bernie McMahon 99-91.
