ummm this could go 2 ways A: cotto outclasses him and blasts him out real quick. B: kirkland survives the initial onslaught and slowly wears him down to a late tko.. i see the former being rung true here

I think Mandingo hits just too f*ckin hard for Cotto to last the distance. Cotto would be a huge fight for both James and trainer Anne Wolf so you can scratch the lousy trained Kirkland turning up to fight.
James' chin has only failed him once. Even that hard shot that put him down against Angulo (Cotto doesn't have that much power), James got up and evened up the round. Kikland has been unfairly labeled due to the Ishida fight and he does start cold a lot of times, but once he's warmed up he's always shown he can walk through bombs.
Think Kirkland stops him around the 10th Cotto will do good early but he will gas, I wouldnt expect James to be too aggressive early because Cotto has power
I don`t like this fight for Cotto at this stage in his career ... Kirkland too much, too big,too much firepower for Cotto.
Posted this on another thread about Kirkland but it applies just as well to this match-up. He only seems to have a chin problem in the 1st rd of fights, once he gets past the 1st rd his chin becomes solid and hard to crack. All his knockdowns against him have come in the 1st rd whether it was against Allens Conyers, Ishida or Angulo and even last night he seemed a bit shaky in the 1st from some of Tapia's punches. I just put that down to James being a very slow starter, once he gets into a groove and his body warmed up then he becomes a pretty unstoppable force unless you hug him to death like Molina did.
