:goodGood post.I worried that he was bouncing too much and it would burn too much juice, but he slowed it down perfectly.

Good performance. He did get backed up at times. In the third where they traded off. Margo may have come off better. Overall a good performance. Stuck to the plan, good footwork and got the TKO.

Yeah Cotto looks like a better fight to me. Better defense, and he's throwing combinations fluidly again. Looks like he's got that fire back.

He seems to be able to fight much better defensively against Margarito.
    (First five last time,naturally)

all this bull**** about cotto "being on his bike" should stop.

    LOOK WHO HE WAS FIGHTING!!!

if cotto would've gone out there, got in a brawl, and got KO'D, you margo supporters would be saying he's a glass hearted ***** whos "daddy" had to spank him again

the better man won tonight, get over it.

No. Cotto used to do have that on the first half of the first fight, but with better footwork/laterals on the second fight. cotto made sure he wont be backed off the ropes too often this time, and resulted to less/unsuccessful body punching by margo.

    :deal

Cotto going into the ring against a fighter with all Margarito's attributes, did the perfect game plan.

Agreed. His tactics were refined, no doubt, but he has slowed down too. Not as much as Margo, though. Cotto was blocking with his gloves a bit more than head-movement which allowed some rights and uppercuts to come through that didn't need too. He throw some nice combos but he doesn't explode with the power he did in the old days. Margo definitely couldn't apply the same speed of pressure, though. That was the biggest difference-maker in my view.
