wow, i just check boxrec.com and it seems this is a done deal, they are schedule to fight each other... i admired both cotto and mosley, its going to be a long night for me, but hey this is what boxing needs, this year so far in my opinion boxing has been at a level where many of us wished for, we finally getting those good matches :happy
great fight, I'm really happy that it's been made. This fall is really looking like it's going to offer better total match ups than we've seen in the past 3 years combined. why a long night for u?
I know I made a HUGE error in picking Judah over Cotto but i'm gonna have to do it again, but at least this ime it's Mosley. Before you all start annoying me, just know, that I do like Cotto. He's one of my favs, but this is his hardest test to date and i've got a feeling Mosley will edge the decision..
its going to be real hard rooting for either guy since mosley and cotto are two of my favorite fighters, but at the end of the day i hope cotto pulls the victory since his career is booming, mosley had his moments already...
Both guys are already in fighting shape -- they could go at it tomorrow. I think it's a pick 'em, and I pick 'em Mosley by UD. Shane doesn't go for a knock-out anymore, and changes-up his shots enough to confuse Cotto for twelve rounds, and he's got the beard, skill, and legs to deal with Cotto's sledgehammer fists. I hope.
i'm a fan of both fighters, and although cotto is just entering his prime and mosely seems to be in his golden years, it's a matter of styles making fights. cotto gets starched in this one
On the surface this seems like a no-brainer for SSM, but consider the situation: Cotto is coming off his the biggest win of his career and could probably get a fight with just about anyone, and even make good money beating-down a couple of cans. So, I don't see Cotto's team taking this fight unless they were pretty certain of a win. Maybe he knows something we don't know.
SSM can't afford to let Cotto build momentum or get back into the fight. Its the only way I see him losing. It will be competitive but Cotto gets hit way too easy and SSM is one of the few who I think can finish off a wounded Cotto.
Shane will be too much for cotto, he's just a strong as cotto if not stronger. Shane is no zab, he's a very smart fighter. Shane stops cotto. one more thing shane has been in with the better fighters. still hungry, still strong.
