Can someone dig up some threads about this match up, preferably one involving a poll, thank you. I recall them being close. No point on starting a poll now since everybody mow agrees Cotto has no chance, right?
As much as I dislike Floyd, when I take in consideration styles and sizes, I think Floyd would be a lot of harder for Cotto than Manny.
Because there wouldn't be a huge PPV buy for PBF/Cotto, and the risk getting beaten by Cotto too high for the reward. Not saying PBF would lose, just that he is careful about picking fights that earn maximum cash for lowest reward. He's like an investor.
Yeah, that's the point. PBF needs a big name opponent to draw big numbers. He's just not that well liked and his style doesn't put asses in the seats. So he needs to fight guys like Hatton, Pac, ODLH to get the numbers.
But the thing I'm trying to say is, if everyone has been shouting that they want to see Cotto/Mayweather that means they would buy/go to it right? So how is Cotto not going to draw money if everyone has been saying that that is the fight that want to see?
Exactly. It's BS and Mayweather and his team knows what their doing. He knows can't beat Cotto. He's only gonna fight him when he's forced too.
