I don't care about his attitude. He's not someone I go talk to about my problems or someone who owes me anything. The fact is that the guy won't back down from a fight and I respect that about him. There's nothing else to ask from the guy. And if he offends another fighter with his comments then it's up to that fighter to shut him up.
I don't think it's a big deal. so Cotto isn't this humble guy he's made out to be neither is Ricky Hatton ... look what Hatton said about "December 8th will be the end of Mayweather" or "bet your house on me" fighters talk smack, nothing new.
the funny thing is how would you feel if you went 25-30 in 0 with 20 -25 kos had world titles was beating one good fighter after the next all the while a majority of the fans were praying for your loss and making excuses for why you won?? .. cotto hasn't always been respected and i think thats where the attitude comes from
He always going to have that attitude to the PR media, cause what happened in the past with all the gossip about him and his personal life...and he know them its like revenge; imo he need to forget all that BS like a Proffessional he is...personally i been in the same club he is after a fight twice and he acted humble as Tito, shaking hands, chatting and posing for pics with the fans!!
i know, it was a reply about cotto saying he ain't gonna get ko'd with one punch like hatton did. pac would eventually ko/tko hattonnd with barage of punches even if he didnt get caught in the 2nd round with that.
Hatton was at least fighting Mayweather. I don't know why a fighter would take constant swipes at a guy he's not fighting or even planning to fight.
Cotto started getting Tatts right before he fought Margarito. He had two wrists tattoos and his pevlis tattoo fully visable at the weigh in for the Cotto-Marg fight. Did you expect him to stop after the fight? Once a person gets a Tatt they usually want more. Its addictive to a certain degree.
Cotto in the Shane fight wasn't going to the body....Progressively Cotto has been changing his style and even more so after his loss to Marg. Cotto didn't have good "D" before but now he has a balance between the two which makes him a better fighter...more intelligent.
Why should he fight for the fans?? Fans turn on u in the blink of an eye. If i was him i would say the same thing. **** the fans! its sad but true nowadays fans dont care about u if u are not winning. well most of tehm anyways
fighters ultamily fight 4 themselves and $$$$ lets b real, who cares if he not liked, i personally have met him and he is a nice guy. after a fight like the 1 with margo, ofcourse he's not the same, maybe 4 the better because he is more of a boxer than a chaser. but in this fight he will use a combination of both, agresser and boxer. cotto UD.
Cotto has a point. SOME PEOPLE think Cotto will get KO easy just like Hatton did. But check Hatton's record. He really only two victories over class A fighters and both at 140lbs. Tszyu (2005) and JLC (2007). Both past their primes. That was it.
well based on your rating, cotto's only wins over A class fighters were mosely and judah who were both past their prime as well. talk about double standards.
