I always liked Weaver drawing Carl Williams in by backing himself to the ropes after getting stung. So very few heavies can fight worth a damn once it's their backs on the ropes. But Weaver had big problems with mobility and moving targets. Once Williams stood in front of him and since he always held those hands low, it gives Weaver a nice window in there. And he took advantage of it.
Reads like Arnold Cream / Montell Griffin to me , watch their fights to get your answer in the highest detail . Cream had people walk into his punches . Griffin used his shoulder to push Roid off him before tagging him well with a straight punch , not a foul for me , Jones was not clinch free even during his prime.
Anything by Walcott or Archie See Archiein the first second of round eleven versus Yvon Durrelle - he literally takes a big jump/leap outof his corner and stone cold freezes in ready stance when he lands and blatantly aims an obvious shot at the oncoming Durrelle and then..... pings him with it!!! Very cute - and very funny too
Always liked the old trick of turning your opponent against the ropes and then blasting away with punches. Duran liked to do this along with many old timers. Those vids were good stuff A:good Did you ever think about making a part 3 with some of the lesser known stylists and Canto, Starling, kalambay, Zapata etc.I was thinking about doing one myself recently, but i doubt i have the skill to do it justice.
Yes but I haven't really had the free time to create any new videos recently. I've also gathered up a ton of new footage since then so it should be easier to make another part when I have the time. With youtube not limiting the time of the videos nowadays part 3 could end up lasting very long as I've been thinking of putting pretty much every fine defensive artist that I can think of (and have film of) in there.
The only heavy to use feints in recent times was Chris Byrd. And look how effective he was at it for a guy with not much power.
