What should be Craig's next move after Saturdays defeat? Think returning to Billy Nelson's gym along with getting out of the Golden Boy deal and returning to fight in Britain looks the best move. Guy has bags of talent but seems to have been messed about at Wild Card which has cost him

Dont know you mate but a great call.after watching Quillian Craig should have beat him no bother, there never seemed to be a game plan in there at all.
Problem being people in boxing dont like admitting there wrong and go on the slide insead of eating humble pie and doing whats right!

He would be a good opponent for any up and coming Brit fighter.

Might sound a bit crazy after Saturdays contrasting performances but he is similar to Ricky in the sense he could box the head off most people in the world but lacks the big power punches so the game plan is important in his fights. He wouldve boxed the head of Quillin if he used his jab imo but i dont think i seen it all night. still feel he would beat alot of 'big' British fighters at his current level but he needs good direction. He is prob fighting around 30/40% of his potential so i hope it works out for him, big big talent imo.

How good do you think he could be Billy?

I worked with him for 3 or 4 months there and hes talented,i truely beleive i was getting his confidence back when this fight came up,i suggested 1 or 2 warm up fights then go for the Quillians of the world but circumstances dictated as to how Craig took the fight.
Craig imo has the talent to beat any Middle in the UK but hes got to do things right and isnt again purely my opinion.

Eat humble pie and do what's right? What does that mean, Billy?
Craig is contracted to Golden Boy. He had not fought for nine months (and therefore not paid) and his promoters offer him a fight in Mexico live on HBO. Are you seriously saying Craig should have told them he wanted a couple of British warm-up fights first? Just for starters HBO would not have allowed it in case he picked up an injury. It is easy for people to sit on the side-lines and say "so and so should have done this and that" but in the real world things are never that simple. You of all people should know that, Billy, having been on the receiving end of your share of unfair criticism on this site.

Grendal, thats out of order. Most criticism Mr Nelson has recieved on this site has been very fair and in most cases deserved.

agree. if its possible for him to relocate back over here i thnk he should, it wouldnt be hard for him to get to the top of the pile domestically and start rebuilding from there

    He said circumstances dictated.

The rest of us know that Billy meant money and contracts, why are you struggling?

Will, I am not struggling with anything. I just wondered to whom Billy was referring when he wrote,
"Problem being people in boxing dont like admitting there wrong and go on the slide insead of eating humble pie and doing whats right!"
Your telling us that he meant "money and contracts" explains nothing either! What does that mean?

I agree come back to the UK and obviouslly Nelson is no.1 in Scotland right now so he would be the logical choice.

I have heard him mention light middle but either way he needs to come back to domestic level and build his way back up the rankings.
