After watching a good Peter Quillin performance last night it got me thinking.....Craig can still make a big impact in the middleweight division. He has 2 losses, 1 to Kid Chocolate in a fight he took at fairly short notice and had an untried trainer due to his split from Freddie Roach, and the other to the highly rated Andy Lee who he was beating until he tired and got caught in the later rounds. If your were Craig would you a) stay in America and be put in fights against GB's upcoming stars and try hustle your way back into contention or b) return to Britain, fight for less money and work towards a British title?

Goldenboy don't seem to have his best interests at heart. I think he's better off fighting back in Britain. I'd still train and live in California though. Better sparring/training imo. (No offense Billy)

Paul Smith would be a decent opponent and if he gets through that he should set his sights on Barker/Mackin/Murray depending on who is available. I'm sure Fwank wouldn't mind him fighting on Burns undercards.

I've only been to around 10 shows pro and amateur but he's easily the most gifted fighter I've seen(sorry Simbo haha). Aye he was offered to fight an unbeaten Mexican in Mexico with 3 weeks notice so GB obviously see him as a gatekeeper now so he either needs to take a couple of these fights and win or return to Britain. Also I'm likely way out here but I'm not sure after being such an elusive amateur and lacking power that fighting toe to toe like he does is the best idea......but then again Freddie will know a bit better haha

Just out of curiosity, was that unbeaten Mexican Gilberto Ramirez Sanchez?

Been wanting to see what this guy is like, but there's not much footage of him (that I can find anyway).

Craig is a very talented fighter ,i did tell Craig it wasnt the right fight in Mexico and Craig had 10 weeks notice for the fight.
He was starting to look very good in my gym the that fight was the same night as Ricky v Katsitas and i never seen him again ha ha

he was actually working with Billy Nelson after he left Roach.

however taking that fight against Quillin was suicide at that point in his career especially coming off the Lee defeat.

Yeah, think it was him in Mexico so Craig would need to win 13 rounds to get the decision.
