I've heard some folk mention that they think McEwan is shot, after the amount of amatuer fights he had etc..does anyone who knows him think this may be the case? For what it's worth, I'd like to see him kick on from the AAA fight he had a month or two back and start fighting in domestic match ups here again and hopefully get himself in line for a British title fight. I'm hoping the next year or so could be a good time for the pro scene in Edinburgh with the likes of Simmons, Thain, McCallum breaking through and Anderson on the verge of getting the fight with Groves (this may have already been confirmed, I've not been able to keep up with all the news recently).
I think his confidence took a big dent but it's also motivated which he possibly wasn't before. He beat a very good Andy Lee up not long ago and though he looked pretty **** in the Quillin fight that was more down to the questionable tactics of trying to lean on him/tire him out before attacking in later rounds, he acknowledged it was all wrong. Said before I think Billy would be a perfect match for what Craig needs but there is obviously some issue there, I defo dont think he's done though but guess time will tell
Thats no probs mate,i dont mind if fighters move on there entitled to,but craigs own words were hed never felt fitter in his career than when in my gym and he was enjoying his boxing again,he even wanted me to manage him he signed a contract however craig not having a british licence at the time the contract was void then he moved on:good
based on what craig was looking like when he left my gym id put him in with any of the top UK boys no prob
