Crawford vs Canelo CompuBox

Compubox is not accurate at all jabbr.ai has accurate punches landed statistics for Crawford/Canelo which shows Crawford was a clear winner.

How do they have the fight 115-113 with Crawford having that big of an edge in punches landed? The only thing I can assume is most of those shots happened in certain rounds and was not consistent throughout the fight.

 

It only had Canelo winning 2 rounds with the other 2 rounds being even with Crawford winning 8 rounds overall.

Quite similar to how I see it 8-4 to Crawford I could maybe see it being a tad closer but there's no argument for Canelo winning IMO.

 

It was hardly a masterclass not even close to what Floyd did to Canelo.
It was just Crawford slightly outworking a tired Canelo.

 

Something is very screwy with the numbers and this is highly suspicious. They have adjusted the Crawford numbers in several rounds from the Compubox data that was released after the fight.

Take a look at what the numbers WERE for Crawford in Rounds 5, 9, and 12.

Round 5, a round that 1 judge gave to Crawford, originally had Crawford landing only A SINGLE PUNCH. 1/34. Now they've given him 2 more punches landed that round for a more competitive 3/34.

Compubox HAD Crawford landing an incredible 33 punches in Round 9. That has been reduced now to Crawford only landing 24 punches that round.

Round 12 ORIGINALLY had Canelo outlanding Crawford by 3 punches, 17 to 14, with a 10+% accuracy advantage that round, and landing 5 more power shots than Crawford. Now, Crawford has been given 7 more punches landed overall that round to give him 21 punches, now Crawford has a 2+% accuracy advantage that round and has Crawford landing 2 more power punches than Canelo that round. While the overall numbers remain identical.

No I don't agree with their description of "technical masterclass" but regardless its a clear win for Crawford in a competitive fight.

Crawford separated himself from Canelo in the 2nd half of the fight after some nip and tuck rounds in the early going.

People were scoring the body punches for Canelo that weren't actually landing that were hitting elbows and the more accurate stats of the AI punchstats reflect that.

 

Canelo mostly hit Crawford's elbows.

We've all seen the fight. Canelo participated in the fight.... Not once did you see HIM argue that won the fight. Why is it that his fans can't accept the results. I mean, at least he got a competitive 115-113 scorecard at it clearly wasn't that close. I had it 8 rounds to 4.

 

This fight was pretty even after 10rds, Canelo had nothing left for rd 11 and rd 12, That is when Bud got the win, I was at the fight, I rewatched it when I got home, The announcers were really bad, they were riding Buds nuts,
