I wonder if this is a theme? The bit I really don't understand is how the gloves were inspected during the fight and was just allowed to carry on.
Crazy the lengths people go to find things that they believe jeopardises the outcome of a fight. Revoke Crawford's and his whole teams boxing licenses immediately. & why is this even in the British boxing section?
Where were the, apparently, all seeing eyes and ears of the media when the Crawford team pulled this move? This makes Ricky’s showing even more notable. His first fight against Crawford was his first since sustaining a broken jaw, just 6 months previous against Beltran. I attended both fights and have always felt he didn’t get enough credit for the Crawford fight. One thing about Ricky, he never did a Butler or Smith, he gave it his all.
This reminds of a detailed account, in Boxing Monthly, I recall, of how Robin Reid was treated when preparing for the Lacy fight. Great that we have the august body of the BBB of C to look after our boxers!!!
