cross arm defence

    Which fighter started using the cross arm defence,dose anyone think its a good style?

    George 'Elbows' McFadden was one of the pioneers of this style, although I think I read an example of something similar to this style of defense used by one of bare-knucklers, but I don't remember who and when.

    its good if used correctly ala Joe Frazier. I think it has more negatives then positives though. I'd rather just go with a traditional defense.

    Archie Moore used it correctly better than anyone i have seen. watch film of him in his prime.

    Ken Norton used it lots, and look at Witherspoon vs Holmes at times.

    did eddie futch teach this style who else taught this.
