Cunningham rips Haye

Everybody thought Huck would steamroll Cunningham and he got schooled. Cunningham is one of the most underrated fighters in the game, and definitely on the level of a David Haye, in fact he actually has more pure boxing skill.

 

Yanks know **** all about David Haye.

It doesn't matter cos theyre going to find out whether they like it or not

 

Who did O'Neill Bell fight instead of Cunningham, just out of interest?


We can banter all we like. Im sure if Enzo does lose Cunningham can try for a fight with Enzo (no point talking about Haye fighting Cunningham we know it aint happening whatever the result) or a fight with Mormeck. Or a fight with Bell. Then you can start saying he has proved he deserves a shot. Mormeck is better than anyone on Cunninghams resume, and if you disagree with that....

 

Obviously you don't know much about the human body. Cunningham is an extremely muscular guy who always keeps himself in shape. He's probably about 4 or 5 % body fat;meaning he's not going to loose weight all that easily.

 

Who is better, Mormeck or Huck?

Beating never were Euro hopefuls?

 

Nobody, he sat around literally not fighting anyone. Go check boxrec. He fought Mormeck, fought no one for a year, then fought Mormeck again.

 

But anyway, at the end of the day, Haye is the man in the division and Cunningham is not. Haye beat the champ in his backyard, Cunningham has a paper belt.

And they are not gonna fight anyway, so its a pointless argument.

 

I don't doubt Cunningham would be a decent test for Haye, but there doesn't seem to be any vital interest in that match. Haye would be better served moving up to heavy.I'd like to see Cunningham move up as well, but his lack of a big punch may hamper his popularity and effectiveness.

I wouldn't go as far as to say Cunningham is nobody when compared to Haye. He's obviously not the recognized champ or top guy of the Cruiserweight division, but as I've said before Ring magazine ranks him as #1 contender. That doesn't mean Haye should fight Cunningham, and if he seriously can no longer make the weight limit then he shouldn't bother with the fight. As well as moving up to heavyweight, a fight with Cunningham may not be so easy and could spoil his arrival at heavyweight (which also depends on his fight with Enzo). The Cruiserweight division is obviously not such a spectacular division when compared to heavyweights, in terms of popularity, and Cunningham being the only top fighter now from the US - he gets some attention. A Haye/Cunningham fight would do poorly in either Europe or US so from a business aspect it doesn't make sense. Cunningham can always go for the belts left behind when Haye leaves, and if he feels he needs a fight with Haye for his own legacy (which in all honesty isn't the other way around because Haye is looking up) then he can move up to heavyweight to fight Haye. I only am bothered when boxing becomes a subject of calling other fighters "nobodys".

 

While we are complaining about spelling and grammar its 'lose weight.'

I do know about the human body as Iv competed at International level in sport and have a degree in Sports science so don't go trying to play clever with me, you can be 0% body fat and still lose weight I bet when Cunningham goes to bed he loses more than 2lbs, Haye is hardly fat (I dunno what his body fat percentage is) and yet he is cutting around 20lbs of weight for this fight.

 

I was bothered with Bell's inactivity. I heard it was supposedly due to throwing a hatchet at one of his sparring partners in camp, or something of that sort. That was a disgrace after becoming the unified champ at cruiserweight, which hadn't been done since Holyfield - only to ruin it by going into exile.

 

pulling off an upset against a shitty fighter like Huck does not make a fighter good.
