I think it was fear of losing to the IBF champion Steve Cunningham that drove Haye up to heavyweight. Those who consider Haye a great cruiserweight seem to forget Haye only ever had TWO cruiserweight title fights. One was against the soft-chinned Enzo Macarenelli. The other was one he was losing until he got Mormeck with an illegal rabbit punch. Haye didn't want any part of Tomasz Adamek either. Nor Vitali Klitschko, once he moved up to heavyweight.
