Would you consider him to be still in his prime, past his prime or totally shot?

I am talking about the whole thing (shape, speed, power, ring generalship, workrate, stamina, etc.)

Way past his prime both by age and the number of injuries he suffered, plus 2 wars with Lewis and Sanders. However, he is still head and shoulders above his much younger, fresher opposition.

  3. **** Vitali Klitschko he ducked great Ruiz and Rahman!!

How was Vitali-Sanders a war? Vitali messed the guy up for 8 rounds. Vitali-Lewis was a war.

Vitali won every round against Lewis, and I still think Lewis had something done to his gloves to cut Vitali like that. Sanders - who unbelievably showed up fat for the Vitali fight - was missing Vitali with bombs by inches all night long, and Vitali was absolutely peak that night, a thing of beauty to watch, but he was lucky that CS didn't show up in the shape he did when he met Wlad.

    this...^

unfortunately i think his prime was when he was retired, he (we) missed out due to plauging injuries...

with that said he's still a beast, which is testament to how great he really is...

He's past his prime. But I don't think anyone can beat him barring injury.

Visibly past prime but perhaps the best 40yo heavy in ages (tbf he hasn't fought yet at 40+ but I expect him to fare well against Adamek).

Sanders nearly had him out of there in the first, I dont know whether to call it a 10-8 round for sanders because the knockdown was hard to call. after the first though Vitali seemed to have everything under control after that point

Vitali is past his prime. However, he's a very good fighter and probably the best 40 year old heavyweight we have seen (better than 40 year old Holyfield, Foreman or Moore).

P.D. Vitali/Sanders was not a war. Vitali punished him.
