There fight was to close to call, a rematch would be intereting as Mundine is heading downhill and Geale is getting stronger. I actually thought it was Mundine's best performance since Soliman 2
i scored it 7-5 to Mundine 3 point win to Mundine but the judges know better than me.watched Sylvester-Oral recently.Sylvester has a good body shot which may trouble Dan as well as fighting in Germany.GO GEALE.:happy
There's a lot to like about Geale. An old style fighter who does most of his talking with his fists. His opinion of the Wood vs Mundine rematch is very realistic: If Mundine wins - Geale vs Mundine II is an option - with Geale having a fair say in the terms. If Mundine loses - forget it - and adding to that, IMO it'd be a career ending loss for The Pioneer.
dont think Mundine will want any part of Geale the Kariuki,Karmazin stoppages means Daniel power is getting better.
I watched that in recent weeks aswell..he put the beatdown on Oral towards the end..When Mahir went down on his knees it looked like he was about to live up to his name. Sylvester is certainly beatable..but he is in the best form Ive seen him in. Looks confident and backing his power a bit more. Admittedly I never followed him closely till now, cause I never rated him that highly. Heaps in intriguing fight in a lot of ways..Sylvester isnt an easy guy to dominate in a pure boxing match, he is tight and economical and you aint going to get the nod against him if the rounds are coming down to a few punches. You have to get in there and take it from him...Which I think Geale is capable of with his workrate and variety of punches. But I think power is a key to beating Syl, because he is a little chinny and he shells up when hurt..I dont think Dan is a big puncher. The counter jab of Sylvester is a doozy aswell..you gotta watch for that because the crowd blow their load whenever he lands it. He will just sit in his guard and soak up what you got then snap one out there. He is pretty good at slipping jabs aswell, but I think its more drilled into him rather than instinctive or him having a great eye for dodging punches. Thats why I reckon a good feint could bring him on to the follow up punch. Pretty excited for this one the tell you the truth...It's there for Gealey for take it but there are a lot of obstacles to overcome so it aint a lock.
Totally agree WhataRock. Should be an interesting matchup which will show how far Geale could go. If Geale wins this, you would expect even bigger fights ahead with his name mentioned for the likes of Martinez Pirog Sturm etc.
So is Geale just gonna sit it out until the Sylvester fight in the summer or what ? He should be getting another fight in first like Sylvester is doing.
I think he has to be patient until the fight is made. He cannnot risk his placing in the IBF Win Lose or Draw The IBF will bend him over if he fights a tune up

He was good enough to push Sylvester all the way only 4 months earlier in a fight many people think he won. Give Geale his fair dues.
Hope i'm wrong but can't see Geale doing the job ,,, Geales a good boxer , but for me he has something missing which will stop him beating the top teir guys . Although i do sincerly hope i'm wrong.
