you have a point.if its June or July that will be what 7 or 8
months since his Halloween fight with Karmazin in 2010.
but at least Kariuki,Karmazin were better fights than the
Mackillop 1 round farce as a lead up to his fight with
    Mundine.

    I agree Francis.

I think Grange have done a good job in the end with Geale, however his inactivity has become an issue.
He has at times stagnated for nearly a year & regardless of his result vs Sylvester hopefully the inactivity doesnt continue after.

7 months, does it matter if he is sparring quality boxers in between scheduled fights? Not that I know who he has been sparring just a question.

His sparring with top US prospect Edwin Rodriguez would have been quality for the Karmazin bout.

When I spoke to the man himself a few months back he indicated that he can't fight anyone else before he fights Sylvester.

I asked why, and he said because of the contract blah blah blah.

Can someone in the know enlighten me as to why this would be the case.

I have **** all knowledge on the politics side if things.

This would only be the case since he has become the IBF mandatory in Oct.
The IBF wont allow its number 1 contender a fight of any sort (e.g tuneup/keep busy) without approval from the champion/champs promoter.

This doesnt excuse Geale's inactivity prior to the Karmazin IBF eliminator.

Of course, I do now remember him saying this.
Geez my memory is ****ed. :patsch
For sure, I'm not defending that, but I did recall there was a legitimate reason this time.

its weird the WBO didnt allow Katsidis a fight in Australia
on the same day JMM fought Diaz.

its bad because sparring is all well and good but i imagine actually fighting is far better preparation.maybe
they figure Gealezaghe will be less awesome after so
    long without fighting.they're figuring wrong.:deal

Who's the journeyman Francis? Are you saying Karmazin was a journeyman?

He was rated No. 3 by the IBF at the time of their fight in October and had come off a decision loss to the champ in Sylvester, hardly what I would think most would deem a journeyman? :huh

Unless I'm reading your post incorrect and please correct me if so.

No I don't mean Karmazin. Imo Geale has only ever fought 2 very good fighters in Mundine and Karmazin. Other than those fights he has been fighting some average opposition on home soil. When you are top 10 Ring Mag middleweight in your prime and fighting a lot of glorified nobodies with padded records why can't your management organise these fights for every 3 or 4 months so you and your career can get on a roll ? Obviously if your cut or injured that is another matter but he's not.

RK has been done for a while, a long while. ****endo this does not take anything away from how Geale bashed him. Geale put him away well.
